LOCAL JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT VOLUNTEER TO BE HONORED AT U.S. BUSINESS HALL OF FAME
Local businessperson from Denver wins top award from pool of more than 138,000 volunteers.
DENVER, COLORADO – Junior Achievement - Rocky Mountain Inc. announced that Brian Addy has been chosen from more than 138,000 Junior Achievement volunteers in the U.S. to win the organization's highest award for volunteerism, the Gold Leadership Award. Mr. Addy was honored this month at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee during the annual U.S. Business Hall of Fame.
"Thanks to Brian's leadership and generous financial contributions Junior Achievement inspires thousands of young people in Colorado to prepare for success in a global economy. Brian is an entrepreneur at heart and feels that Junior Achievement embodies all of his core beliefs," said Jeff Potter, CEO of Exclusive Resorts and board chairman of Junior Achievement."
Mr. Addy has been a JA board member and classroom volunteer since 2000. He also Chairs Junior Achievement's "Success on the Green" Sanctuary Golf Classic. Mr. Addy is President at Ad-Venture Capital Management LLC.
Ten Gold Leadership Awards are awarded each year to Junior Achievement's top volunteers. The awards are based on each volunteer's level of participation and leadership in Junior Achievement operations.
